  • DeAsare Johnson

    EVENT SPECIALIST

    DeAsarae Johnson brings over a decade of hospitality experience to her role as Event Specialist at The Brick, one of South Bend’s most sought-after wedding venues. Her journey with Navarre Hospitality Group began in 2017 as a banquet server. Through hard work and natural leadership, she quickly advanced to banquet captain in 2018, and then banquet manager in 2019. In 2021, DeAsarae transitioned into event planning, combining her operational expertise with her passion for creating memorable experiences.

    DeAsarae's career in hospitality started in 2012 as a front desk supervisor at a Quality Inn, where she discovered her talent for guest service and attention to detail. Her dedication to her clients, goal-driven mindset, and commitment to delivering stress-free, enjoyable planning experiences are what set her apart.

    As a proud mother of four, DeAsarae treasures time spent with her children and making lasting memories together. One of her proudest professional accomplishments was when The Brick was named Best Wedding Venue in South Bend in 2022—a recognition that reflects her commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.

  • SERAFIN GARCIA

    CHEF | NAVARRE HOSPITALITY GROUP

    Serafin Garcia joined Navarre Hospitality Group in 2019, beginning his journey as a cook at The Matterhorn. With a passion for culinary excellence and strong leadership skills, Serafin has since risen to oversee kitchen operations for three of Navarre’s premier venues in South Bend: The Armory, The Brick, and Palais Royale.

    A graduate of The Art Institute of California–San Diego in 2010, Serafin spent nearly a decade honing his craft at the renowned Mister A’s Restaurant, where he worked under acclaimed French Chef Stephane Voitzwinkler. This experience helped shape his refined approach to cuisine and his dedication to quality and creativity in the kitchen.

    Outside of work, Serafin enjoys golfing, smoking meats, and spending time with his wife, Lauren, their two children, Wynter and Sylas, and their dog, Darla. A proud fan of all Chicago sports teams, Serafin lives by the mantra: “Work hard, play harder.”

    One of his proudest accomplishments is being entrusted with the leadership of culinary operations across Navarre’s South Bend venues—a role he approaches with passion, precision, and pride.

  • SEAN MILLER

    GENERAL MANAGER | NAVARRE HOSPITALITY GROUP

    Sean Miller brings over 20 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry, with a deep passion for delivering exceptional service. He began his journey with Navarre Hospitality Group in 2017 at the Crystal Ballroom, and through hard work and dedication, he has grown into the role of General Manager for The Crystal Ballroom, The Armory, The Brick, and Palais Royale.

    Before entering hospitality, Sean served in the U.S. Air Force as part of the Security Forces, a background that instilled in him a strong sense of discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail—all qualities he brings to every event he helps execute.

    Sean is a proud husband to Misty and a devoted father to three children: Layla, Sean, and Tristan. Outside of work, you’ll often find him riding his Harley, enjoying the open road whenever he gets the chance.

    Whether he’s behind the scenes or working alongside his team, Sean is committed to providing top-notch service and unforgettable experiences for every client.
